Terrier rescue in Iowa: Wire Fox Terrier Rescue Midwest

This Terrier Rescue actually works throughout multiple states, not only in Iowa. They rescue abandoned and neglected Terriers from other shelters, puppy mills and neglectful households. The rescue rehabilitates them and finds new loving homes for them. If you are interested in adopting one of their Terriers, you will need to fill in an application. If your application is approved, the rescue will contact your references – particularly your vet, to learn more about the current pets you already have and their health and care. You will also need to accommodate a home visit from one of the Rescue’s volunteers to make sure you are the right home and the right family for one of the Terriers.

If you are approved, you will be able to visit one of the Terriers at their foster home. According to the Rescue’s website, their Terriers reside in Iowa, Chicago, and nearby states. You can reside in any state as long as you are OK with travelling to the foster home.

If you are looking to relinquish a Terrier, this rescue will accept your dog and will be understanding of your situation.

Since the rescue is fully run by volunteers, they rely on donations to be able to afford medical care the dogs need, transportation, and many many other expenses. If you are in the position to help, please consider donating to this Rescue. You can learn more about their dogs, the process of adoption and how to donate on their website.
