Poodle Rescue in North Carolina: Carolina Poodle Rescue

If you are looking to adopt a poodle in North Carolina, you might want to visit Carolina Poodle Rescue. This is an organization run by a dedicated team of staff and volunteers. Their goal is to rehabilitate and rehome poodles in need. They serve the areas of North and South Carolina, as well as have connections with a few other states. According to their website, they have around 150 poodles in their care at any given moment.

The Rescue center itself is located about 1.2 hrs away from Charlotte, NC. If you are interested in adopting a poodle from Carolina Poodle Rescue, your first step will be filling in an application. After you are processed and approved, you will be able to come to the center and see some of the adoptable dogs. You can even adopt one of their dogs if you live out of state, but you will have to be able to travel to meet the dog. All adoptable dogs are spayed and neutered before they are adopted out.

One condition that is necessary for you to be able to adopt is having a fenced back yard. Shock fencing/electric fencing will not do.

You will not be able to adopt a dog if you have children under 5 years old living in your household.

If you are not ready to adopt a dog yet, there are other ways to help their rescue. Carolina Poodle Rescue requires substantial funding to be able to take care of the large number of dogs they save and rehabilitate. They need sponsors to help them gain funds. Consider becoming a sponsor if you are able to.
