According to to their website, this is an organization dedicated to helping corgis who find themselves in need of a new home, with the prevention of animal cruelty being the main goal. They accept corgis who are given up by owners, end up in shelters, or are found in the streets. As stated on their website, they do not have a shelter facility and all of the dogs live in foster homes. All of the dogs are thoroughly vet inspected and offered necessary vet help. All dogs are also evaluated and observed while they live in foster homes, with the purpose of getting a better picture of each dog’s personality, energy levels, and needs. This allows finding the most suitable home for each dog.
If you are interested in adopting a corgi from this Rescue, you will need to fill in a short application followed by a more detailed application if there are dogs that may suit your household and family. You will need to provide several references and go through a phone interview, as well as a house visit. You will then be able to meet a dog in its foster home and make a decision about adopting a dog.
To adopt a corgi, you will need to pay an adoption fee of $350. You can then have a 2 week trial with your dog to see if the two of you match each other well and are happy with the adoption.
As with other shelters, there are plenty of ways to help if you are not quite ready yet to adopt.
